Hammanskraal
General Information
Town small rural town of Hammanskraal is located in Gauteng province, South Africa, about 30 minutes from Pretoria. It is a large rural community and serves as a shopping centre for the surrounding rural areas. The area is made up mostly of farms and small holdings.
The town got its name from a cattleman named Hamman who set up a stockade in the area to protect his livestock from predators. Hammanskraal now serves a large rural community.
Hammanskraal enjoys the same weather as most areas in Gauteng with hot summer days often followed by late afternoon showers and cool evenings and crisp sunny winters days.
